Categories

Categories in PostCalendar is another exciting feature. No longer are you limited to just 5 categories, with this version the categories are unlimited and are stored in the database. To access this feature, click on the “Categories” link in the PostCalendar administration screen.

The options in this Categories Administration screen are:

• Delete - check this box next to the category and click the “Commit Changes” if you want to delete this category.
• Category name - enter the title of the category, this is the name that will come up in the pull-down list in the event entry form.
• Category description - enter a description for the category
• Category color - either enter the hex color code (remember the hash! #) or just click on the color picker link and choose a color visually. All events of that category will have a bounding box with the chosen color here.
